With over fifteen years in the events industry including time as Events Manager at The Trafford Centre, Nicky has worked with numerous high profile clients and delivered a wide range of events including national product launches, award ceremonies and cutting-edge communications conferences. As MD of her own company, she continues to offer the experience, imagination and flair on which her reputation has been built.

Michelle Graham
Finance Manager

Michelle joined Don’t Panic in January 2016 as Finance Manager. She is a CIMA qualified professional with considerable experience in the business services and leisure industries. Her previous roles include Management Accountant at Xchanging and Financial Controller at the Macdonald Dunkenhalgh Hotel. She possesses great organisation, communication, internal control and analysis skills.

• Final meal… deep fried brie, spicy veggie pizza, sticky toffee pudding with custard and cheese & biscuits

Nancy Dykins
Operations Director

Nancy joined the team in September 2016 with over 25 years of experience in digital and creative industries. From starting her own business at the age of 20, she brings a wealth of experience and operational knowledge to the Don’t Panic team.

Joe Charlton
Head of Events

Joe Charlton, Head of Events, oversees the logistics for the Don’t Panic event portfolio of 60+ events both in the UK & Internationally, whilst managing a team of 6 event managers.

He successfully designs logistically complex and creative event solutions for clients. Joe’s experience ranges from large-scale exhibitions to corporate awards across the digital, media & PR industries.

Chloe Chadwick
Creative Director

Chloe graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University as BA (Hons) Graphic Design with first class honours. During her time at university and since after, she has been involved in several design events, exhibitions and fairs, including the Manchester Print Fair as part of Design MCR. Chloe joined us in January 2015 as an in-house Graphic Designer and was promoted to Creative Director where she is responsible for the look and feel of Don’t Panic, as well as our client and own-branded events.

• Looking forward to… moving house and adopting a dog!

Ashley Parkinson
Head of Sales

Ashley joined Don’t Panic as Business Development Manager in February 2015. He previously worked for First Choice Holidays as Team Manager and Yell selling advertising into the Yellow Pages and digital media. After a decade at Yell, he went to Michigan, USA to coach soccer for 6 months. He’s also a keen cricketer and captain of Ramsbottom 2nds.

Becky Mellor
Events Manager

After graduating with a History degree in June 2015, Becky decided to pursue a career in events after getting a taste for it working part-time at a local venue. She completed a 4-week work experience placement at Don’t Panic and was taken on full time as an Events Assistant in March 2016. In September 2016, Becky was promoted to full-time Events Manager.

• Happiest when… playing with one of the office dogs
• Reading… a historical novel
• Signature cocktail… Mojito

Alex Rimmer
Events Manager

Alex graduated in 2015 with a degree in Events Management from Manchester Metropolitan University. Alongside her degree, she interned with a wedding and event planner working on various projects including wedding exhibitions, private and corporate parties. Alex completed a 4-week work experience with Don’t Panic and joined the team in April 2016 as a full-time events assistant and has recently been promoted to Events Manager.

Sarah Belcher
Events Manager

After completing college, Sarah went on to progress in social media and online sales. She was fortunate enough to gain exposure to all aspects of the business in this role, which gave her the insight to discover her true calling in the events industry. Sarah is also a qualified beautician, a big foodie and loves a cold beer (Peroni to be specific). Sarah completed a week of work experience with Don’t Panic and then joined the team in July 2016 as a full-time Events Assistant and has been recently promoted to Events Manager.

• Happiest when… I am eating!
• Dream birthday venue… On a beach, somewhere very hot with a large alcoholic beverage in my hand!
• Spirit animal… A leopard, you can often find me sporting the print in my everyday outfits!

James Harding
Graphic Designer

After seven years working in the charity sector, James decided he wanted to be a designer in 2014. He studied at Shillington College in Manchester and then spent a year working as a graphic designer for Leeds University Union. James joined the creative team at Don’t Panic in May 2016 and works on the branding of the events we run.

• Favourite film… The Shawshank Redemption. It’s okay for grown men to cry, right?
• Listening to… something mellow and random. BBC 6 Music is the usual vibe in the creative team office.
• Looking forward to… the day my new baby lets me have some proper sleep!

Ciaran Grimshaw
Web Developer Assistant

Ciaran joined Don’t Panic in June 2016. Previously he was a student doing A Levels at Bacup & Rawtenstall Grammar School and also worked a Saturday job at a milkshake bar. Ciaran is currently working an exciting job as a full-time web developer apprentice, learning about web design and aiding in the construction and maintenance of websites for the events we organise.
