Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Sponsorship Sales Executive is responsible for driving growth in Sponsorship sales across Don’t Panic.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for developing and selling sponsorship packages across a range of B2B events.
- Create and build data and new markets for potential sponsors
- Liaise with the events team to maximise income generation and provide sales support as required
- Managing ongoing client and sponsor liaison
- Use Social Media channels effectively to create and build relationships
- Deliver high quality levels of customer service in keeping with the Don’t Panic brand and ethos
- Maximise income and minimise expenditure to create profit for our clients and Don’t Panic
- Manage communication between clients, the agency and suppliers to ensure effective event delivery
- Work on new business pitches / business development activities as required
- Manage sponsor liaison to ensure sponsorship packages are sold, delivered and managed effectively
- Manage financial administration such as payments, invoicing / collection of income / chasing payments to secure best possible prices and reduce non-payments and help aid cash flow
- To accurately complete time sheets on a weekly basis
- Manage effective post event evaluation with all client and Don’t Panic events to ensure effective continuous improvement
- Produce post event evaluation reports and meet with clients and sponsors as required to review events and secure future bookings
- Attend events as and when required
- Any other duties in keeping with the position
Job Requirements
- University degree or relevant work experience
- 3 years sales experience ideally in sponsorship, event or media sales environment
- Proven negotiating skills
- Proven sales skills
- An understanding of the digital industry
- Ability to develop professional relationships in all aspects of the position resulting in stable, consistent, reliable and courteous communications with all parties
- Ability to multi-task across numerous complex projects with varied deadlines
- Ability to problem solve and work independently
- Excellent organisational, planning and project management skills
- Proven ability to take direction and input and develop and deliver exceptional events that achieve both Don’t Panic and client objectives
- Proven ability to prepare accurate budgets and manage expenditure
- The ability to present and pitch for new business
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Solid business acumen and problem-solving skills
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Effective time management skills
- Driving license and own car (mileage allowance is paid)
- Willing to travel and flexibility around working hours
